For Parents

Our children are our future. As parents and communities, our responsibilities include nurturing and guiding them through the best possible life experiences, while providing tern with outstanding opportunities to learn and grow physically, socially, and emotionally.

Nature's Friend is a facility designed to provide children with a positive life experience. The facilities are designed for enjoyment and to provide an emphasis on learning. Campers have fun, enjoy new friendships, and create lifelong memories. The camp offers activities such as boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, nature studies, basketball, volleyball, and softball. They participate in drama, crafts, and skill building activities such as first aid, peer mediation, team work, and social responsibilities.

The camp fronts a major county road with 93 acres of forest, lake, and cleared areas.

Camp facilities include:

· Main House with first aid facilities

· Four sleeping cabins and a recreation game room

· Large bathhouse with one side for boys and one for girl

· Large dinning Hall with a commercial kitchen, restrooms, and indoor meeting facilities

· Above ground swimming pool, ball courts for softball, basketball court, volleyball court, and miles of hiking trails

· Three acre lake for boating and fishing

· Campfire area designed for demonstration activities and drama presentations. Camp fires are an option for after dusk song fests and story telling.

· Outdoor picnic area with a bar-b-q area with a covered pavilion and picnic tables overlooking the lake

Nature's Friend plays a vital role in each camper’s growth and maturation by fostering independence, self-discovery, ethics, and social skills. We stress team concepts and critical thinking skills which are necessary in today's and tomorrow's world. This is all done in a fun-filled natural environment.
